Not worth the rent
The Kawai Complex Guide to Manors and Hostel Behavior is a romance anime where the main girl says like five things in three episodes, the main guy is boring/annoying and all the side characters are perverted in some way. I’d list their names but they don’t even matter. Hopeless virgin boy moves into a complex with quiet antisocial girl, masochistic pervert guy roommate, lecherous drunk older woman and flirtatious college trouble making girl. If this sounds like the most tropeish anime you’re right. None of the characters are particularly enjoyable. They all act exactly as you’d expect their archetype to and very little actually happens each episode. I watched three episodes and could not tell you what any of the plot actually was. They just hang out at the complex and do one off activities. There’s not like even fun adventures they go off and do. It is honestly just boring.
To make things worse the main object of the MC’s affection is a socially awkward, very quiet girl who likes books. He immediately is smitten with her and given their very few interactions initially its a bit creepy. She does start to talk more as the episodes go on but still remains a very blank-slate type character. The MC isn’t much better, being more annoying than anything. He whines a bit more than I’d like and he just doesn’t have much depth to him. Really none of the characters do. Maybe theres some better development down the line but honestly I can’t be bothered to stick with this show. It is trash but it is not worth your time.
