Nintendo Didn’t Make Hanafuda Cards For This
We finally did folks, we got Crunchyroll to recommend us some straight up anime trash. Koi Koi 7 (there’s only 6 of them) is about a group of girls/cyborgs that have to protect the MC Tetsuro for some unknown reason (maybe it’s explained later). It’s hard to give this show a defined genre. There’s obvious harem tropes as Tetsuro gains the admiration of each girl, there’s an episode dedicated to Sentai anime, and there’s lots of mech based combat. All you really need to know is the Gokoh 5 want Tetsuro to submit to their elitist, rich, granddaughter of a company head leader, Miya and the Koi Koi 7 work to prevent it. Five episodes in, the reason why Tetsuro is important isn’t really explained other than his Dad might be smart, and really the plot doesn’t matter. Nothing changes from episode to episode and it is clear this is supposed to be some stupid fun romp with some weird drama added between Yayoi, a member of koi koi 7 and supposed childhood friend of Tetsuro, and Celonius 28, a supposed robot who believes she is the true Yayoi and lover of Tetsuro. Really from what I’ve seen this side plot hasn’t amounted to much and even if it did it would be in service to the fan service permeating this series.
This anime is truly the epitome of trash. You have a group of super powered girls that constantly have their panties and other assets shown off. The show can’t help but remind you of how nice their breasts of butts are, looking for excuses for up-skirts as the super powered koi koi 7 beat down mechs. The girls not only walk around their dorm in underwear, but multiple episodes have them in tight swimsuits, where some even remark how tight they are. If that wasn’t enough, there are multiple scenes of exposed breasts and butts, the former happily bouncing about as they’re made the focus of the shot. If there was an anime that straddled the line of ecchi and hentai this would be it. That’s not even taking account of the scene in the first episode where there’s clear lesbian conversion action going on. Honestly this anime is incredibly horny, has a nonsensical plot, and truly embodies what it means to be trash. I can’t give it a great rating, because it is genuine trash, but it deserves an extra star for knowing what it is and not being ashamed of it.
