Going bananas
This review will be on shorter side, mostly because the episodes of Bananya are so short. The basic premise is that there is a race of cat-banana hybrids called Bananyas that come out to play when their owners are out. Each episode is only about three minutes long, which I think works out perfectly for this premise. The Bananyas themselves only talk through various nya sounds, with much of the action described by a narrator. The scenarios are pretty simple, sometimes its watching TV, exploring the refrigerator, lot of low stakes stuff. The art and the aesthetic is very cute and the show overall is quite wholesome. There is little to no substance, but watching it is sure to bring a smile to your face. Definitely works well as a chaser after watching some of the other trash on here, or some of the more serious anime. It’s cute, it’s fun, and it’s short.
